Te Rere Gardens

"Te Rere" ('Flight' in Māori) is the name of our little farm, after the flight of the birds that glide along our green moraine wall. We've made it into our special place.

My name is Rob, I am a farmer and my wife Col is a nurse working in the community. Having looked over both sides of the fence, we now like to nurture, grow and craft things in harmony with our environment. We are off the grid and have built everything our selves. Col is creative with fibres and fabric, while I am a keen landscape photographer.

We'll take you on a little wander to meet our cattle and chooks, talk about farming and show you the garden before sharing our produce and stories with you over lunch. We would love to meet you and learn about your stories too.
